This simple French Toast Recipe makes the greatest homemade French toast ever! In this classic breakfast recipe, the bread is crisp and flavorful on the exterior and soft on the inside. Add maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh fruit.  

– 2/3 cup whole milk – 1/3 cup all-purpose flour – 4 large egg – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 8 slices Texas Toast bread

Cook French toast on a 350° griddle or in a skillet over medium-high heat. Spray non-stick cooking spray on the griddle or skillet.

Mix milk and flour in a bowl. Whisk until well blended. Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, and ground cinnamon. Whisk well to mix. Use a pie plate or equivalent shallow dish.

Submerge each piece of bread in the wet batter until fully covered. Place on a griddle or skillet pan and cook each side for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.

Maple syrup and a light coating of powdered sugar should be served alongside.
